Background: Initiative for Gender Equality and Sexual Reproductive Health (IGE-SRH) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced policy consultant to undertake a critical analysis of the National Policy on the Health and Development of Adolescent and Young People in Nigeria. This project aims to identify key gaps and areas for improvement with a focus on the inclusion and rights of LBQTI individuals within the policy framework.
Project Overview: The selected consultant will be responsible for conducting an in-depth review of the current policy, engaging with LBQTI communities and stakeholders, and developing evidence-based recommendations to enhance the inclusivity and effectiveness of health and development initiatives targeting adolescents and young people in Nigeria.
Consultant Responsibilities:
- Conduct a thorough analysis of the existing policy, highlighting gaps and challenges affecting LBQTI adolescents and young people.
- Engage with various stakeholders to gather insights and perspectives on policy impacts.
- Develop and present a comprehensive report outlining evidence-based recommendations for policy improvement.
Qualifications: We are looking for a consultant with:
- Proven experience in policy analysis, particularly in health and development sectors.
- Deep understanding of LBQTI issues and challenges within the Nigerian context.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, research, and analytical skills.
